The Scout accosiation have started planning for the 2011 Jamboree! You may think its a bit early, but planning a jamboree takes alot of time, and it will be here before you know it. The Jamboree will be held on the fields of Rinkaby, not far from the town of Kristianstad, in the province of Skåne, southern Sweden. The camp area itself lies near the coast on sandy ground surrounded by pine woods. Sandy earth helps rain water run off and thus there is no risk of any parts of the camp area being waterlogged. The campsite is approx 1,5 km x 1,5 km. Small areas of forest divide the campsite into smaller fields. The temperature is varying, average day temperature in the period is 22 degrees centigrade, average night temperature is 17. We dont expect this jamboree to be as big as 2007, but it will be great fun! As soon as we know more... You will! |

The End of 2007 marks the moving on of our Senior Patrol to Explorers. The Senior Patrol, Myself, Georgina, Lucy, Rhiannon and Tom are all moving up after Christmas to Explorers! They shall be sadly missed and some of them will be coming back as young leaders. The new senior patrol is yet to be decided on. I am coming back in January, seperate from the Scout Group to do Quartermastering with Stuart. We are going to get all of the stores labeled up and an extensive itinery made. The website will also be staying alive. |

At the weekend, we went to Parklands for our annual Bonfire camp. It was very sucessfull and everybody enjoyed it. We were joined by Donnington scouts, and Eddie the DC. The Bonfire was very big, and the firework display next door was amazing. Pictures will be on here soon, once i get them from the leaders. I would like to say thanks to Marge, the site owner. Our Leaders and Our guests who did Archery with us. |
